Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - March 13th

We have wanted to visit Malaysia ever since we got a favorable impression when we stayed at a destination resort on Mauritius owned and very well run by a Malaysian company, Berjaya Group). Ane we had always specifically wanted to see the Petronas Twin Towers, which are supposed to be stunning. Thare are:

After we had lunch at an Irish Pub (KL is a very modern and cosmopolitan cty), we walked from the City Center along a covered walkway that ran about a kilometer to several high-end shopping malls in the main shopping district. Particularly impressive was a seven story circular one called the Pavilion that featured a unique Oriental sculpture fountain of three bowls being filled:

Here is a video and a still showing the fountains at full height:

For our friends in Florida, Fort Lauderdale is not the only city that has a bar-restaurant called "Scandals:"

On to Singapore – I think I hear a drink at the Raffles Hotel calling my name!!!
